Brief Description on HTPDC:

The PES-HAC Humanitarian Technology Project Design Competition (HTPD) competition offers

(i) Online Training Sessions on HT Project Design,
(ii) Live Discussion Forum and
(iii) Local and Final Rounds of Competition based on the video presentation and live Q/A.

The competition limits the scope only on detailed design considering the COVID-19 pandemic, which includes technical design along with brief analysis on community engagement, stakeholder’s mapping, sustainability, social impact, and business model.

We have received registrations from 65 Project Teams from 12 countries (19 IEEE Sections). After the training and open forum discussions, finally, 26 Teams could submit the detailed design.

  • In each team, there are around 5-10 members.

  • Out of 65 teams, finally 26 teams presented videos and attended local rounds.

  • Teams were divided in 6 Local Rounds at 6 different places (five countries) from 10th to 18th April.

  • Top two teams from each Local Round Competition were selected based on the evaluations from judges.

  • Top 12 teams from 8 different IEEE Sections will be attending the final competition.

  • The Final Round Competition and Award ceremony will be held during 24th and 25th April (Saturday-Sunday) from 11 AM to 2 PM GMT.

Based on evaluations provided by the judges during local, final and flash rounds and online evaluations (from Microsoft CMT platform) by judges the winners will be declared.
