Technical Talk: Winter Storm Elliott–Duke Energy’s response to Protect the Grid

The Clemson IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Student Branch is hosting an industry panel of speakers from Duke Energy to discuss and deliberate the adverse climate change impacts on the power grid. The panelists will highlight the effects of Winter Storm Elliot and give insights into how the future power grid should protect and mitigate climate emergencies. The Duke Energy speakers are: 1. Sam Holeman, Vice President- Transmission System Planning and Operations, and 2. Rick Grant, Vice President- Distribution Control Center Operations.
