Introduction:
A webinar on renewable energy was conducted by IEEE PES SBC CET as a part of IEEE PES Day 2023 on 19th April 2023. The event was held virtually on Google Meet from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM and was attended by both IEEE and non-IEEE undergraduate members. The webinar featured Abhinav R, a Junior Research Fellow from IIT Palakkad, as the speaker.

Brief Description:
The webinar was organized with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of renewable energy technologies and their role in promoting sustainable development. The participants were provided with a brief understanding of various types of renewable energy technologies, such as solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, and biomass. Participants were also able to interact with the speaker and gain knowledge about the current trends in the automobile industry and the scope of hybrid and electric vehicles in India.
The webinar on renewable energy organized by IEEE PES SBC CET as a part of IEEE PES Day 2023 was a great success in promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration among experts and stakeholders, and raising awareness of the latest research and developments in the field. The webinar received an overwhelming response from the participants, who were keen to learn more about renewable energy technologies and their potential to mitigate climate change. At the end of the webinar, IEEE PES SBC CET awarded a virtual memento to Abhinav R as a token of appreciation for his valuable insights and contribution to the event. Certificate of Participation was awarded to all the participants who had successfully attended the Webinar.
