Sustainable Energy Summit (SES)

This meet-up session is to take participants through some of the opportunities, challenges, and solutions associated with the integration of renewable energy sources in the smart grid. Participants will have the opportunity to ask our renowned researcher, Engr. Prof. Amevi Acakpovi questions after his presentations on how he has solved some of these challenges. This event is in line with the lifting of the temporary ban imposed by the Energy Commission of Ghana on the wholesale supply of electricity from renewable sources. Engr. Prof. Amevi Acakpovi's expertise in renewable energy is highly sought after, and his insights will be invaluable for anyone interested in the field. This event is a great opportunity to learn from a leading expert and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in renewable energy in Ghana.

Study Visit to Urban Farming and Community Garden@Cyberjaya

In conjunction with IEEE PES Day 2023, the IEEE MMU Student Branch PES Student Branch Chapter, IEEE MMU SB, and Ensoc MMU Cyberjaya will be organizing a visit to an urban smart farm to support the theme for this year's PES day - "Powering a Climate Safer Future". With this visit, grab a chance to learn more about smart farming and educate yourself on how to play your part to build a sustainable future and reap what you sow.
