GRID INTERGRATION FOR CLIMATE SAFE FUTURE

The event is based on ecplaining and training students on ways of intergrating grids efficiently so as to have a climate safe future. The speaker is eng. Sally who a young professional working in the power and energy sector.

Cyber Security Challenges

The speaker of the event is Dr.USHA BALA VARANASI,IEEE CS Chapter VICE-CHAIR Vizag Bay Section, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, ANITS. Topic of the Webinar is Cyber Security Challenges.

Climate Change In Africa

The event will explore the impact of climate change on the African continent, the challenges facing the continent, and the steps that can be taken to address the issue. The event will begin with an overview of the current state of climate change in Africa, highlighting the various environmental and social challenges faced by the continent. Mr. Matsenga will discuss the impact of climate change on agriculture, water resources, and energy systems and how these changes affect the livelihoods of African people. Throughout the presentation, Mr. Matsenga will delve into the specific challenges faced by African countries, such as inadequate infrastructure, weak governance systems, and limited financial resources. He will also provide an overview of the international efforts to address climate change and their impact on Africa, emphasizing the need for collective action. One of the key takeaways from the event will be the importance of education and awareness in addressing climate change in Africa. Mr. Matsenga will highlight the need for education at all levels, from primary school to university, to raise awareness of climate change and its impacts. He will also discuss the importance of building the capacity of African governments to develop effective climate policies and regulations. The event will conclude with a call to action, encouraging participants to take a proactive role in addressing climate change in their communities and supporting sustainable development initiatives in Africa.

Engineering Climate Action as a Youth

The online webinar had an agricultural engineer and a climate change activist, Eng. Elizabeth Mwende as the speaker. She gave insights on what young engineers and students can take part in the conversation of climate change, and how they can help mitigate the effects of climate change. She encouraged participants to take part by being involved in the conversation, collaborating, planting trees as well as kitchen gardens, educating as well as being part of both local and global competitions and forums.
