The technical tour, which will take place on May 2, 2023, at the facilities of cable manufacturing factory located in Tekirdağ/Çorlu, will provide information on cable production operations, metal processing techniques, and production lines. During the tour, participants will have the opportunity to gain detailed information about the features of materials, processing methods, and production operations, as well as to closely observe the applications in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.

PES DAY 2023 is an annual event where PES chapters celebrate and commemorate IEEE PES and its vision, with a focus on powering a sustainable future. Therefore, the IEEE HU PES & IAS Joint Chapter will take the opportunity to raise awareness through technical booth exhibitions and workshops. Energy Today: Challenges and Prospects for the Future

The Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapter of IEEE NTUA SB, with the support of IEEE Greece Young Professionals, is hosting an event called "Energy Today: Challenges and Prospects for the Future." This event is aimed at discussing the current developments in the energy sector, coinciding with PES Day 2023. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 2nd, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Amphitheater in the NTUA Central Computer System Building. The event will begin with a brief welcome and presentation of the PES Chapter and its activities. Professor C. Vournas, the Chair of PES Greece, will also address the audience. The event will feature two distinct sections. In the first section, two experts in the field from Schneider-Electric will deliver technical presentations. Alexandros Ntalagiannis, Product Application Engineer, will speak on the following topics: "Closer to the Era of E-mobility" and "The Solution to the Energy Crisis Goes by the Name Microgrid". Penny Kokkini, Application Engineer, will present on the topic of "Smart and Green Buildings." The second section of the event will feature a panel discussion with our school's professors - Prof. Hatziargyriou, Prof. Papathanassiou and Prof. Papavasiliou- who will discuss topics such as energy efficiency, renewable energy penetration, energy storage, as well as the capacity and adequacy of the Greek network. Finally, the event will conclude with a networking session and snacks, during which attendees will learn more about the activities of the PES Chapter of IEEE NTUA SB, IEEE Greece Young Professionals, and Schneider Electric. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Power and Engineering Society(PES) day is an annual event organized by the PES, a non-profit organization driven by volunteers worldwide to educate society by providing scientific and engineering information on electrical power and energy for the betterment of society. PES Day 2023 is conducted with the theme “Powering a Climate Safer Future” with hopes of taking action to save the world from worsening changes in the climate. Webinar on the Role of Renewable Energy in Achieving Sustainability

IEEE SB in association with IEEE PES SBC and IEEE had presented a webinar on the topic “The Role of Renewable Energy in Achieving Sustainability” on the occasion of IEEE PES Day Celebration 2023 on 10.04.2023 This webinar was lectured by Mr. Bahaaldeen Mohammed, he received the B.Eng in Electrical Engineering (Electrical Power) in 2019 from Alzaiem Alazhari University, Khartoum, Sudan. He is currently a M. Tech Student in Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India (Power System Engineering). Participants learned about the outline of Renewable Energy's role in Achieving Sustainability and its general uses. Also, the speaker cleared the participant’s queries with a brief explanation. Almost 35 participants attended. The Student Coordinators Sushmitha, Reshma and Narmadha coordinated the event along with staff coordinator Mr. M. Arun, AP/ECE and Dr.M. P. Chitra, HOD/ECE.
